With Easter just a week
away, I'm sure you have your services well
planned, but just in case you're as last minute as
I am, and are looking for some inspiration, then
do check out the FW Easter page, which features
songs that are ideal, as well as a couple of drama
scripts, that are quick and very
effective.
2 of our most popular songs,
"Jesus, thank you for the cross" and "Whiter than
the snow" now feature new arrangements, sung by
Helen Burgess (who used to sing with Delirious in
their "Cutting Edge" days and has a stunning
voice) and make ideal tracks to play during a time
of reflection, or communion. Feel free to download
the free MP3's and sheet music.
Also
featured is the powerful song "The depth of a
mystery", which tells the story of the Last Supper
- ideal for a Good Friday reflection service, or
again, for communion.
Wishing you every
blessing with your church services, and with your
family and friends this Easter - Christ is risen!

Chris Juby has put the
finishing touches to a brand new online discussion
forum. We hope it will build over time into a
valuable resource where worship leaders,
children's workers, parents, church leaders, and
anyone who has an interest in all-age worship, can
interact, share ideas, pose questions, and
encourage.
Well, that's the vision, but
it's entirely up to you, so make Chris happy by
visiting the forum (which is very secure, and
regularly monitored, and in registering to post,
you won't be subject to a deluge of spam!) and
diving in to post something.
The layout of
the forum page also gives a glimpse of the shape
of the site re-design that is nearly complete, and
will be launched in May.

Regular readers won't let us
get away without the jokes, so here's a selection
of some great new ones (at least to us) that we
trawled the web to find!
A pastor was
giving the children's message during church. For
this part of the service, he would gather all the
children around him and give a brief lesson before
dismissing them for children's church. On this
particular Sunday, he was using squirrels for an
object lesson on industry and preparation. He
started out by saying, 'I'm going to describe
something, and I want you to raise your hand when
you know what it is.' The children nodded eagerly.
'This thing lives in trees (pause) and eats
nuts (pause)...' No hands went up. 'And it is gray
(pause) and has a long bushy tail (pause)...' The
children were looking at each other, but still no
hands raised. 'And it jumps from branch to branch
(pause) and chatters and flips its tail when it's
excited (pause)...'
Finally one little boy
tentatively raised his hand. The pastor breathed a
sigh of relief and called on him. 'Well...,' said
the boy, 'I *know* the answer must be Jesus...but
is sure sounds like a squirrel to me!'
A
Sunday school teacher was teaching her class about
the difference between right and wrong. "All
right children, let's take another example," she
said. "If I were to get into a man's pocket and
take his billfold with all his money, what would I
be?"
Little Johnny raises his hand, and
with a confident smile, he blurts out, "You'd be
his wife!"
A Sunday school teacher was
telling her class the story of the Good Samaritan,
in which a man was beaten, robbed and left for
dead.
She described the situation in vivid
detail so her students would catch the drama. Then
she asked the class, "If you saw a person lying on
the roadside all wounded and bleeding, what would
you do?"
A thoughtful little girl broke
the hushed silence. "I think I'd throw
up."
